In 1990 a Dutch resident purchased stereo recorders from a Dutch agent of a German company. A dispute arose between the parties. The Court held that the CISG was not applicable as the contract had been concluded before the entry into force of CISG in both Germany and The Netherlands (Art. 100 CISG).
